Customising your Workflow
Getting the most out of Inbox means fine-tuning the details of your workflow and setting it up for speed.
Trackstack gives you flexible tools to shape how you review, organise, and respond to submissions. By customising your workflow, you can streamline decision-making, save time, and maintain a consistent communication style with artists.
This page covers the key workflow settings you can configure.
Defaults Stack
Your Default Stack is where new submissions are placed automatically. It’s also the stack used when performing faster actions such as:
Keyboard shortcuts
Bulk actions
Quick reviewing sessions
Choose a stack that matches your typical first-review process, such as “New Submissions,” “Second Listen,” or “To Review.”
Default Quick Decline Message
When you decline a track without writing a custom note, Trackstack sends your Default Quick Decline Message to the artist.
This helps you:
Give consistent, respectful feedback
Save time during high-volume reviewing
Maintain professionalism without writing each message manually
Example default message:
Sorry this track was not doing it for me this time. I listen to all the music sent on Trackstack personally, so please keep sending and I will keep listening. Best wishes, Jamie.
You can also choose from several suggested decline messages to help convey tone and encouragement.
Custom Declined Label
Choose how you want decline actions to appear to senders. Options include:
Not for me
Pass
Declined
This changes only the label the sender sees — the action remains the same. Pick the one that fits your communication style.

Feedback Templates
Feedback Templates allow you to save predefined responses that you can quickly apply when reviewing submissions.
Use them for:
Consistent messaging
Faster review cycles
Providing more thoughtful feedback without typing it each time
Examples:
“This track did not make it this time but please send more when they are ready. Thank you.”
“Almost there. Not quite right to sign after playing out but I would love to hear more on this vibe.”
“Good bassline and drums, not into the vocal.”

Templates help you maintain a strong feedback loop with artists while reducing the time spent writing individual comments.
Summary
With workflow customisation, you can fine-tune Trackstack to match how you review and communicate. Adjusting defaults, decline behaviour, and templates ensures your inbox fits your working style — whether you’re handling a handful of submissions or hundreds.
